Dear SPH KV Parents,
Warm greetings once more from me and our leadership team at SPH KV. We are grateful for steps that have been recently taken in Indonesia to preserve peace and restore stability. Though some protests have continued, in Jakarta these have been peaceful; again, we are grateful for this.
In light of these positive developments, we plan on returning to campus for in-person learning Wednesday and Thursday, September 3 and 4 respectively. We will resume our regular schedule on campus for both of those days.
We know, based on educational research, that in-person learning is the best option for our students; as such, hybrid learning will not be an option for our students who are unable to come to campus. For these two days this week, we will post communications and assignments via Teams or Managebac for the Senior School students and for JS students work packets will be emailed to parents. This will help to allow these students to progress with their learning.
If events occur which necessitate a change between now and Wednesday morning, or if given direct instructions from the Ministry of Education, we will communicate as soon as possible and revert to remote learning, following the modified online schedules.
We thank you for your trust and continued partnership as we navigate this challenging period. Please continue to pray for our school, our city, and our nation, that God would bless us with His peace.
Sincerely,
Dale Wood
