Dear G9-G12 Parents,
“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do” (Ephesians 2:10).
We are deeply grateful for the support you have given to this year’s Career & Internship Fair. By God’s grace, the fair was a blessing to our community and an encouragement to our students to reflect thoughtfully on God’s calling for their lives, as well as on the college majors they may pursue in the near future. We sincerely hope that this internship program will continue to flourish at SPH-KV for many years to come.
Yesterday, twenty-nine representatives from 11 companies/organizations came to SPH-KV to recruit summer student interns. From our school community, approximately 80 students and 35 parents participated in the event, making the fair both vibrant and well attended. The program began with a warm welcome and prayer led by Mr. Jason. Afterwards, Mr. Dale highlighted the significance of participating in summer internships, particularly as a pathway toward receiving the Medal of Distinction at graduation. Throughout the event, there was a palpable sense of excitement in the air as parents and students moved attentively from one classroom to the next, eagerly absorbing the valuable information shared by our presenters.
If your child is interested in applying for one of the 12 opportunities listed in the attached handbook:
Please complete the attached internship application form and submit it to me in soft copy no later than April 3.
I will then interview your child and forward selected names to the internship companies/ organizations.
You may hear directly from the companies/organizations between April 25 and May 10 regarding an interview they want to conduct with your child.
After spring break, I plan to conduct two workshops on resume writing and interview skills.
