We are delighted to announce a wonderful addition to the SPH Kemang Village faculty for the upcoming 2025-2026 academic year: Mr. Joshua Solomon ! We are so excited for our students to learn from his diverse experiences and passion for science. Mr. Joshua will bring a unique perspective to our school community, having grown up attending international schools in both Zambia and India. He holds a degree in Physics and Education and is currently furthering his studies with a Master's in Education. With eight years of experience as an educator in India, Myanmar, and Mauritius, Mr. Joshua is well-versed in both the Cambridge and IB educational systems. His teaching expertise spans across general sciences, as well as in-depth knowledge of A Level Chemistry and Physics. Mr. Joshua's true passion lies in helping young people see the beauty and intricate details of the world around them, fostering their natural curiosity and encouraging them to think critically. He envisions students not only understanding scientific concepts but also applying these skills in their own lives to develop their own viewpoints. Mr. Joshua believes in making science engaging and accessible for all students. He emphasizes hands-on learning and loves to create fun lessons where students can discover concepts for themselves and develop their independent thinking skills. Outside of the classroom, Mr. Joshua enjoys playing the bass guitar, cooking delicious meals, and embracing his adventurous spirit through exploration. He is thrilled about the opportunity to work in Indonesia and become a part of the lives of our young people. We are delighted to introduce the newest member of our SPH Kemang Village faculty, Ms. Peyton Purvis! Ms. Peyton will be joining our Mathematics department, teaching DP Mathematics: Analysis & Approaches (AA) HL, IGCSE International Mathematics, and IGCSE Additional Mathematics. Ms. Peyton comes from a diverse background, having lived in various parts of the United States, including rural Mississippi, Atlanta, San Francisco, Washington D.C., and Charleston. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from Charleston Southern University, and her recent experience includes four years of tutoring students in various college-level math courses like Pre-calculus and College Algebra. Ms. Peyton has a profound passion for learning and teaching. Her experiences interacting with individuals from various cultures throughout her life have ignited a strong desire to work with students internationally. She aims to be a teacher who truly listens to her students, guiding them through complex concepts in a way that is both easy to understand and fun to learn. She believes that math is not only crucial for almost every career path but also a way to see the order and design in God's creation. Outside of the classroom, Ms. Peyton enjoys a variety of creative pursuits. She loves to explore new places, read books, create art, and play the piano. She is also a big fan of musical theatre! Ms. Peyton is eager to get to know our students, and we are equally excited to welcome her to the SPH Kemang Village family. Other Supplies:  You can purchase these from any marketplace, but please ensure they meet the school's recommendations. Pre-Order Options:  School supplies are available for pre-order at the SPH Bookstore as a general package per grade level. A basic package of stationery is also available. Please make sure you are purchasing the correct package as needed.   Uniforms: Viewing and Fitting:  SPH uniform samples are available for viewing and fitting at the SPHKV Bookstore. Please take this opportunity to try on the uniforms to ensure the correct size for your child. Get ready for an exciting day of competition and fun at the SPH Kemang Village Track & Field Day! Date:  Friday, May 9th, 2025 Time:  8:30 AM - 1:00 PM Location:  SPH Lippo Village All students in Grades 3 through 8 will be participating in a variety of track and field events. It's a fantastic opportunity for our students to showcase their athletic talents and team spirit! Parents are warmly invited to come and cheer on their children! Your support will make the day even more special. Wear your house team colors! Bring your water bottle  to stay hydrated throughout the day. Prepare a cap or sunblock  to protect yourself from the sun. Bring your own snacks and lunch  or cash to purchase food  from the food trucks on-site. Our hearts overflow with gratitude! A truly massive thank you to our incredible KV PAG & CPR for hosting the absolutely wonderful STAD event, a beautiful expression of appreciation for our KV staff and teachers! We, the administrators, teachers, and staff, were welcomed with such warmth and love by our amazing parents. The dedication of the PAG/CPR members, along with the other KV moms, in organizing this special Staff Teacher Appreciation Day (STAD) was truly a blessing. We were showered with an abundance of delicious food and delightful desserts, all served with graciousness, enthusiasm, and radiant smiles in a wonderfully friendly and relaxing atmosphere. The incredible band had us dancing and rejoicing all night! It was an unforgettable treat, a testament to God's love shown through our parents' heartfelt service, generosity, hard work, and kindness. We felt deeply appreciated and valued. Indeed, we all experienced a night of pure joy and fellowship. Thank you, thank you, from the bottom of our hearts!
