- Preloved Bazaar Fundraiser Event
Hello SPHKV Community, We would like to introduce “loose-threads”, a project founded by G11 Business students, who are aiming to fundraise for Papua. For 14 years, SPHKV has been supporting the unreached areas of Papua to fulfill children’s needs of education. With the aim of spreading the gospel, SPH has provided education to hundreds of children in Papua. This fundraiser intends to aid our school’s support which all profits made will be donated towards this cause. Our fundraiser plan consists of accepting donations of second-hand items and resell them at a pre-loved bazaar hosted by us. Those funds will be fully donated towards Papua, and any unsold items will be donated to Sekolah Lentera Harapan Gunung Moria at Karawaci, which is the school where Papua sends their students for further education. We hope you will consider helping us in supporting Papua! If you would like to donate, below are the requirements for donations: * Donations are accepted from April 22 to May 5 * Make sure all items are under reasonable condition * Make sure items are clean and/or washed (e.g. clothes, bags) * There is no limit as to how many items a person can donate * All donations are to be dropped off at SPHKV Lobby (SL) under “loose threads” For more information, check out @loose_threads.kv on instagram. If you have any questions, DM @loose_threads.kv on instagram or WA +62 812 8282 830 (Ella) | +628118742007 (Nina)

- Weekly Highlights: Spreading Christ's Love in Kindy
Dear Parents, In our last weekly highlight, we showcased our High School students' inspiring MSL (Mission Service Learning) projects. From supporting children with cancer to advocating for underprivileged education, their actions beautifully exemplify how we can extend the love of Christ to those around us. But how can our youngest learners, in Kindy 1 and Kindy 2, participate in this meaningful journey? Our Kindergarten Mission Service Learning activity brought faith to action for our youngest learners as they joyously engaged with their local community, their own 'Jerusalem.' They discovered the power of service through meaningful interactions with everyone from family to community helpers, learning that every act of kindness weaves a larger picture of unity and shared faith. Our young learners' excitement was unmistakable as they embarked on service projects, spreading cheer and compassion. This formative experience wasn't just about helping others but igniting a lifelong passion for service, rooted in the joy and purity of childhood and reflecting God's endless love. For their MSL project, our K1 and K2 students prepared a heartwarming activity. They sang praises and worshipped together with the school staff, expressing their appreciation through handmade cards. This simple act beautifully demonstrates how extending Christ's love can begin with even the smallest gestures. May this weekly highlight inspire us to continue spreading Christ's love and sharing His good news with the world!
