- Planned Schedule Shift 🗓
Dear Parent Partners, Welcome to the end of the 5th week of school. It has been a very busy August for all of us and we begin September with our HS Students away at the Spiritual Retreat. Let us pray that this time will be full of good fellowship and solid grounding in the Truth of Scripture. As an academic team, we aim to be mindful of the instruction and learning happening in the school. In reflecting back and looking forward to this year’s academic calendar, we note that several Mondays and Fridays will be or have been missed. Our review of the calendar also highlighted to us an opportunity to address this and minimize learning loss. With this in mind, we are adjusting the schedule during an already shortened week to regain instructional time. While this change has some trade-offs, it ultimately benefits our students by maintaining the learning flow and returning to students missed Mondays and Fridays. Schedule Adjustments for the Week of September 23 with uniform code: Monday, 23 Sept: Campus PD (No students) Tuesday, 24 Sept: Monday schedule - blue and white uniform Wednesday, 25 Sept: Regular Wednesday schedule - SPH polo shirt Thursday, 26 Sept: Friday schedule - batik Friday, 27 Sept: Yayasan Retreat (No students) Please note: Only class schedules are affected. After-school activities, sports, and clubs will run as usual. As this is still two and a half weeks ahead of us, we have the time to prepare for the shift. The teachers will be helping all our students, our younger ones especially, to be mindful of the schedule shift as we approach that particular week: particularly with any changes for PE classes and PE uniforms. Thank you for your understanding as we make these adjustments. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me or any of the Principals or Associate Principals. Kindly, Carol Souisa Head of Academics
