Welcoming Mr. John Rufon to SPH Kemang Village in 2026-2027

We are delighted to welcome Mr. John Rufon to SPH Kemang Village as our new Junior School Physical Education (PE) teacher.

Originally from the Philippines, Mr. John holds a Bachelor of Secondary Education. His journey into teaching has been shaped by a strong passion for movement, teamwork, and student development. During his school years, he was actively involved in a theater guild and dance troupe, experiences that deepened his appreciation for physical expression, discipline, and collaboration. These formative moments inspired him to pursue Physical Education, where he can help students build confidence, develop healthy habits, and discover their potential both inside and outside the classroom.

Mr. John believes that education goes beyond academics, it is about nurturing the body, character, and spirit. His teaching philosophy centers on creating a supportive and engaging environment where students feel encouraged to participate, take risks, and grow holistically. Through Physical Education, he aims to instill values such as discipline, respect, perseverance, and humility, while fostering teamwork, integrity, and a lifelong appreciation for healthy living.

As a Christian educator, Mr. John seeks to model Christ-like values in his teaching. He views Physical Education as a meaningful platform to guide students in developing character and honoring God through their actions, both on and off the field.

Outside of teaching, Mr. John enjoys dancing, performing, and staying active through various physical activities. He also has a love for creative expression through the arts and values spending quality time with friends and family. These passions energize him and bring a positive, enthusiastic spirit into his classroom.

Mr. John is excited to be part of a diverse and faith-centered community that values both academic excellence and spiritual growth. He looks forward to building meaningful relationships with students, colleagues, and families, and to contributing to an environment where students feel inspired, supported, and motivated to do their best.
